2. september 2014: Ráðstefna um kynferðisofbeldi gegn börnum
Á formennskuárinu leggur Ísland áherslu á samræður og samstarf milli Norðurlandanna um hvernig unnt verður að koma í veg fyrir kynferðisofbeldi gegn börnum í framtíðinni. Á ráðstefnunni verður skoðað hvernig löndin hafa fylgt eftir ákvæðum Lanzarote sáttmálans og hvernig hægt sé að nota norrænt samstarf enn betur til efla forvarnir gegn þessari ógn.
Ráðstefnan er hluti af viðburðaröð velferðarráðuneytisins á sviði félags- og heilbrigðismálavegna formennsku Íslands í norrænu ráðherranefndinni á árinu 2014. Ráðstefnan er öllum opin og gjaldfrjáls.

Conference on Sexual Abuse against Children
Preventive Measures in the Nordic Countries
September 2nd 2014 at the Radisson Blu Saga Hotel in Reykjavik
During the Icelandic presidency at the Nordic Council of Ministers there will be an emphasis on prevention of sexual abuse of children through dialogue and cooperation between the Nordic countries. The confernce will focus on the implementation of the Lanzarote convention and how Nordic cooperation can support and strengthen the work on preventing this threat.
The conference is a part of the program of events for Health and Social Affairs during the Icelandic Presidency at the Nordic Council of Ministers in 2014.
The conference is open to all, but is primarily aimed at professionals working with child protection issues.
The language of the conference is English and there will be no interpretation.
